Hunger in America
Millions of Americans, 1 out of every 6, in fact, struggle with hunger. Often these are working adults who will go without food for several meals, and even days. How can we let this be?
It is estimated that about 16.2 million of our children live in a household where they miss meals and do not know when or where their next meal may come from. In 40 states that number of the children under the age of 16 who live in households that do not have a secure, reliable food supply is 20% or more.
Something must be done.
